It takes approx. 1 minutes to read this article

The percentage of vehicles not subjected to periodic inspection on time in the last year has increased from 17% to 22%. As a consequence, as many as 6.1 thousand registration certificates were confiscated by the Road Transport Inspection. The Ministry of Infrastructure decided that it is not a sufficient motivation for drivers and decided to introduce amendments to the act.

As we read in the draft amendment to the act – “the fee for performing a technical inspection after the appointed date is collected by the entrepreneur running the vehicle inspection station independently of the fee for performing a technical inspection in the amount corresponding to 100% of the fee for performing a technical inspection”.

In other words, the ministry proposes that latecomers, instead of approx. in other words, the ministry proposes that latecomers, instead of ca. PLN 160 (in case of trucks) should pay twice as much – PLN 320. There is good news, however, as the draft also provides for the possibility to perform a technical inspection 30 days before the due date without shortening the validity period of the inspection

This solution will certainly make life easier for many drivers.
