Uber and Bolt contracted drivers from today will only be able to provide their services with a cab license.

Market regulation

As of October 1, all vehicles providing a passenger transportation service must drive marked as cabs. Consequently, drivers will have to have a special license, as will the platforms connecting them with passengers.

The Uber Act is intended to unify the passenger transportation market. There is no denying that regulatory actions will positively affect the business of cab corporations, which cannot be said about the operators intermediating services through the app

On Thursday, 01.10.2020, the fleet of Uber and Bolt will be completely powered only by licensed drivers with cab designations

Tough times are coming for companies whose business model was based on working with unlicensed drivers. We will know the results of this transformation in the near future.
